1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the MyCoreJourney website (hereby referred to as the “Service” or “Site”) and web application and its content, functionality, and service (hereby referred to as the “Product”, or “App”) , and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you as a guest or as a registered user. The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible in the footer oft https://mycorejourney.com, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy. If you choose to use our service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

When accessing the website or the web application the Company will learn certain information about you, both automatically and through voluntary actions you may take during your visit. The information that we collect is used for providing and improving the service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

For the purposes of GDPR, ‘personal data’ means any information that identifies an individual such as a name, age, ID number, etc. Special categories of personal data are considered ‘sensitive information’ about the individual that is normally (legally) not disclosed. These categories include physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity, such as health information, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, race, etc. ‘Personal information’ refers to information that is not classified as special categories of information, such as family relations, photos, car details, job information, preferences, favorite restaurants, personal values, or needs, etc. This data is non-sensitive but still considered ‘personal data’. MyCoreJourney complies with GDPR’s privacy and security requirements.

1.1 What data do we collect from our users?

  • a. We utilize automatic data collecting technologies and tracking technologies, such as Google Analytics, to collect data about your equipment, browsing behaviors, and patterns as you browse through our website. This often includes information about your location, website traffic patterns, and any communication between your computer or device and our website or web application. We obtain data regarding your computer type, Internet connection, IP address, operating system, and browser type, among other things. We collect this information automatically for statistical purposes only. The automatic information is used to improve our website and service offerings. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to enhance security or improve the functionality of our service, or when we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer periods.
  • b. We collect personal data such as your username, year of birth, country, email address, password, gender, your consents, and, in certain instances, telephone number. We collect personal information when you communicate with us via contact forms, respond to surveys or test questionnaires, or enter personal written content (referred to specifically as “personal content” in the Terms and Conditions), including journaling or providing comments or other feedback. If you voluntarily provide us with personal data for any reason, such as name or username, our system will link and store your personal data to your personal information until you delete your account.

1.2 We do not collect Credit Card Data
MyCoreJourney does not collect or handle credit card or debit card (“”Payment Card””) information. Our payment provider collects Payment Card data for purchases made via the Website. Such payment providers typically offer us with limited information about you, such as a unique, anonymous token that allows you to make subsequent purchases using the data they’ve stored, as well as your type of card, expiration date, billing address, and the last four digits of your card number. Our payment provider complies with GDPR’s privacy and security requirements.

2. How we use your data

2.1 The following reasons outline why we collect data:

  • a. We collect Usage Data in order to provide you with, maintain, and monitor the website and web application, to record and support your participation in the MyCoreJourney program, and to allow you to participate in interactive features of the Products, when you choose to do so. We collect data to provide customer support, manage your account, and ensure that the content provided by the Products is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer or other device. We collect data to administer our business activities, such as your payments and orders and obligations arising from any agreements entered into between you and us, and to account for applicable sales taxes based on the country provided to our payment processors for purchases made through the Website.
  • b. We collect personal data to contact you by email or through informative communication, including notifying you about updates or changes to Product features and content, and to provide you with promotional communications, such as email, to the extent that you have subscribed to receive updates, you may unsubscribe at any time. We include an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every email we send. If you ever have trouble unsubscribing, you can send an email to support@mycorejourney.com requesting to unsubscribe from future emails.
  • c. We collect personal data, as we may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them. We collect data to serve our advertisements to you through third-party platforms, such as Facebook, Google, Instagram, or on other sites and apps, or across your devices, to the extent that you have provided consent. We may use the information you provide to us to display advertisements tailored to your personal characteristics, interests, and activities. We collect data to understand your broad, non-specific geographic location to help us identify groups of users by general geographic market, such as country, and also to identify groups by gender to be able to tailor our product.
  • d. We collect data to be able to provide you with historical personal Action Board content including journaling which you have archived when engaging in “MyCoreJourney program” containing the four-step process. This is so you can monitor your self-development progress over time in connection with your Product engagement.

3. METHODS USED TO COLLECT DATA

3.1 COOKIES
Our website, like other websites, collects information about your visit and behavior on our website using standard cookie technology and server logs, including visited subpages and whether your device has visited us before, your IP address, time spent on our site, and what site you visited before and after our site (Log data). We use cookies to keep demographic and user-related statistics to determine who visits our website. We also use cookies to ensure that the website’s services perform properly and to improve the design and quality of our website. If you opt to reject our cookies, you may be unable to utilize certain features of our Service.

“Cookies” is a small text file which is saved on your web browser (e.g., Firefox, Safari, Chrome, or similar) with the purpose of recognizing the browser, remembering settings, performing statistics, and targeting advertisements. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

Meta-pixels allow social media sites to track visitors to outside websites to tailor the advertising messages users see while visiting that social media website. The Company reserves the right to use these pixels in compliance with the policies of the various social media sites.​

4. DISCLOSURE OF DATA

4.1 We may share your information in the following situations:

  • a. We may share your personal information with Service Providers (that work for us) to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, for payment processing, and to contact You.
  • b. We may use your information for business transfers, when we evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of a bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Data held by us about our service users is among the assets transferred.
  • c. We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. Affiliates include our parent company and any other subsidiaries, joint venture partners, or other companies that we control or that are under common control with us.
  • d. We may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services, or promotions.
  • e. We may share your information when you share personal information by interacting in public areas with other users, such information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside.
  • f. We may disclose your personal information for any other purpose with your consent.

5. RETAIN DATA

5.1 We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and in the following:

  • a. We will retain and use your userdata to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
  • b. The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns, and to evaluate and improve our Service, products, services, marketing, and your experience. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or when we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.
  • c. In Terms and Conditions we outline details about how long we retain your data in case of cancellation of your subscription or deletion of your account.

6. STORAGE
All data we collect or you send to us via our product is stored on our secure servers hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Their servers are located in multiple countries.

If we have provided you (or you have chosen) a password that allows you to access specific portions of the Products, you are responsible for keeping this password secure. We ask that you do not share your password with anybody and that you change it periodically.

We store your information until you either choose to delete your profile, request us to delete your profile or the profile has not been used for 2 years. We will send an email 30 days before the 2 years, and point out that the profile will be deleted. However, we retain accounting information about you for 5 years, which according to the law in Denmark (where the company is located) is required.

In case you want to cancel your subscription MyCoreJourney will delete your “personal content” after 12 months of your cancellation. We will send an email 30 days before and point out that your personal content will be deleted unless you subscribe again. If you wish to delete your account log into your account and select “Edit Account” in your menu to the right of your startpage and choose “Delete”. Your personal content will in this case be immediately deleted.

Any financial transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology; all payment data is saved with our payment provider and is never stored on MyCoreJourney’s servers.

7. TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company’s operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information, represents your agreement to that transfer.

8. SERVICE PROVIDERS

8.1 We may employ third-party companies and individuals for following reasons:

  • a. To facilitate our Service
  • b. To provide the Service on our behalf
  • c. To perform service-related services
  • d. To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used

Service providers are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

9. SECURITY

9.1 How do we keep personal information confidential and secure?
We adhere to generally established standards to safeguard the personal information provided to us, both during transmission and after it is received. We do not transfer your personal data to any third party without your authorization, as defined by relevant legislation. MyCoreJourney deploys technical, administrative, and physical precautions to help secure your personal information from unauthorized access, damage, loss, modification, improper use, or disclosure. Only a small number of personnel who require access to your personal information are granted access to it.

We value your trust in providing us with your personal information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security during transmission over the internet.

10. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS (GDPR)
The Company respects the confidentiality of your personal data according to The European Union’s law for processing Personal Data, called the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). This means applicable individuals within the EU have certain rights related to their personal data.

10.1 We may process your personal data under the following conditions:

  • a. You have the right to request access to the information we have on you. You have the right to request correction of any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you. You have the right to request deletion of your personal data within your account settings section when there is no good reason for us to continue processing it. If you are unable to perform these actions yourself, please contact us at support@mycorejourney.com to have us assist you.
  • b. You have the right to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will provide to you, or to a third-party you have chosen, your personal data in a ‘My Data’ snapshot, or in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format file (whatever is possible). Please note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use, or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.
  • c. You have the right to withdraw your consent on using your personal data. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide you with access to certain specific functionalities of the service.
  • d. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. This right exists where we are relying on a legitimate interest as the legal basis for our processing and there is something about your particular situation, which makes you want to object to our processing of your personal data on this ground. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
  • e. You have the right, as required by applicable law, to give MyCoreJourney instructions concerning the use of your personal data after your death.
  • f. You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition by contacting us. Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests. You can email support@mycorejourney.com. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with applicable law.
  • g. You have the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority about our collection and use of your personal data. For more information, if you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), please contact your local data protection authority in the EEA.

11. LINKS TO OTHER SITES
Our Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

12. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Our Site is not intended for children under 18 years of age. No one under the age of 18 may use the site. By signing up as a registered user of MyCoreJourney Web Application, you represent, acknowledge, and agree that you are at least 18 years of age. If you are not at least 18 years old, you may not use the Site at any time or in any manner or submit any information to the Company or the site. If you believe we may have any information about or relating to children under the age of 18 using our site, please contact us at help@mycorejourney.com so that we can take the necessary actions.

13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND THIRD PARTY PRIVACY POLICY
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest and most current version of the Privacy Policy will be posted on this page and available for the user to review at any time. We will provide notice by updating the “Last Updated “ date. By continuing using our Site after this date, you agree to the updated Privacy Policy. Therefore it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy often. If there is an inconsistency between our description of the third party’s service and terms, and the third party’s own Cookie and Privacy Policy on their website, the terms described on the third party’s Cookie and Privacy Policy apply.
